Album/DVD/single appearances

edit

Can someone put together an actual list of the songs she recorded on Album/DVD/single appearances? All I did was copy/paste and move the list to this discography page but it should name the songs that appear on. Horizonlove (talk) 23:41, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I have a great deal of information concerning Ms. Fischer's full discography. I have made many revisions to her official discography page on Discogs and can include additions as they come available. I am also working with Ms. Fischer's management team to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate. If you should have any questions concerning Ms. Fischer's information, please feel free to contact me. Also, I have added a few projects she worked om which received Grammy nominations this week. What I meant was putting them in chart format. Right now, the current pattern and how it is listed is very sloppy and confusing. Here is an example of how it should look,
Song Year Artist(s) Album
"It's Only Rock n Roll" 2009 Tina Turner (feat. Lisa Fischer) Tina Live
I also think it would be preferred if we separate the songs she was featured on from the songs that she sang background vocals on. Horizonlove (talk) 17:24, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I understood your request; however prior to making the updates, I wanted to ensure I had your permission to include the information before moving forward. Ms. Fischer has a rather lengthy listing of recordings, therefore it was important to confirm that I had your permission before embarking on completing the extensive updates. Also, I completely agree with your suggestion to separate "featured vocals" vs. "background vocals" as it will help to properly categorize the data. Thank you for your feedback and I can begin the update process soon. 03:01, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Nashaj79 (talk)

Infobox header photo replacement

edit

I have reposted the original photo used when this page was started. After doing so, I have read the notes by User: Nashaj79 saying "Photo [Lisa Fischer Cosmopolite (213155).jpg] removed per artist request". When and where did Lisa Fischer personally request that this picture be removed? Horizonlove (talk) 05:55, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

In reference to your comment regarding the change in the main photo for the "Lisa Fischer Discography" page, I spoke with Ms. Fischer directly on Sunday, December 4, 2016 and she specifically requested that the photo "Lisa Fischer Cosmopolite (213155)" be removed and replaced with following image:Lisa Fischer Boulder Theater.jpg A follow up with Ms. Fischer's Management team was also completed on Monday, December 5, 2016. Ms. Fischer expressed that this change to the main photo is very important to her and it would be wonderful if Wikipedia could respect her wishes. Please feel free to contact me if additional confirmation is needed as I would be happy to provide it. Nashaj79 (talk) 15:22, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Nashaj79 (talk) 09:54, 8 December 2016Reply

Well I will not oppose to have it re-added. But the user who uploaded the picture will soon receive a deletion notice because his picture will go un-used, which is unfair to him. Horizonlove (talk) 15:30, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for honoring the artist's request; I will make the update as a follow up to your reply. To make it fair for everyone including Ms. Fischer and the photographer, i propose that another of his photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons be used as an alternative: Lisa_Fischer_Cosmopolite_(211013).jpg. This image was taken at the same concert in Oslo on May 12, 2015. 02:40, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Nashaj79 (talk)

Infobox header photo replacement - Update request

edit

Ms. Fischer has specifically asked that the Inbox header photo "Lisa Fischer Cosmopolite (213155).jpg" be replaced with "Lisa Fischer Boulder Theater.jpg" If the replacement I completed Sunday, December 4th could be honored, Ms. Fischer, her team, and I would be grateful. Please contact me with any questions. Nashaj79 (talk) 10:12, 8 December 2016
