"Best known" edit

This declarative statement was first removed as "waffly". That was bold. I reverted it. Next in [[WP:BRD} is "discuss". So I restored the statement and asked that it be discussed.

Next it was reverted (without discussion) as "clearly not true. POV, unverifiable. No advantage whatsoever to including this assumption". I restored it with a cite. That's clearly true and verifiable.

It was removed again (without discussion) as "pointlessly vague, adds nothing". There is nothing "vague" about it. She is best know for this role. It adds clarity to the article: Who is this person? Where might I have seen her?

Mark Hamill is best known as Luke Skywalker. We could bury that essential fact between his roles in One Day at a Time and Corvette Summer within a long list and leave readers to dig through the list to try to figure out who the hell he is. Instead we say, "... is best known for his starring role as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy..."

I provided a reliable source that it is true that she is best known for this role. You claimed it is "clearly not true". However, you did not demonstrate that this is not true. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:51, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
