Disputed factual accuracy of references
edit- Article is based on only 2 references. The Zigan article is a part of a vanity-press, blogpost, published by an online media marketing and design company which accepts self-published article, written by a freelance journalist with no apparent oeuvre in Military History. It contains no primary references although it provide quotations without original source. A violation of WP:NEWSBLOG, WP:NOTRELIABLE and possibly WP:SELFPUB
- Fritz reference does not refer to this as a "massacre" or a "war crime". This was a unique construct of u/TiltuM, a violation of WP:NOR.
- The paragraphs cited by the article include the following documents in English: o After Action Report,” 17th AIB, 12th AD, NA, RG 407/612-INF-(17)-0.3; o Sherman B. Lans, “Mount Up! The History of Company C, 17th Armored Infantry Battalion, 12th Armored Division,” University of Tennessee Special Collections, MS-2012, Box 8, Folder 12, p. 55; o “S-3 Journal,” 23rd Tk Bn, 12th AD, NA, RG 407/612-TK-(23)-0.7; NONE of these documents support the claims made in the Fritz book which is the primary source of this article. There is no mention of drunken soldiers of any race, no mention of summary executions and no documentation of alleged cases of rape in any of the original documents that were used as the primary references sources, It is incumbent upon the original editor to WP:Verifiable sources and WP:PROVEIT. .
