I think that cholesterol pneumonia should be turned into a simple redirect for this page. WhatamIdoing (talk) 05:28, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Endogenous lipid (cholesterol) pneumonia associated with bronchogenic carcinoma in a cat. Since this journal article refers to it as Endogenous lipid (Cholesterol) pneumonia, I would agree, but this article should mention "cholesterol" so that people looking for information on "Cholesterol pneumonia" know they have found the right article. I've never merged and wouldn't want to jump in so quickly. Somebody more experienced w/ Wikipedia should definitely go for it, though. -JasonSpradlin82 (talk) 22:41, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The name used in america is lipoid pneumonia, exogenous or endogenous. It does not have to be cholesterol... Most famous cases are exogenous lipoid pneumonia and have nothing to do with cholesterol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.202.101.218 (talk) 00:37, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Management edit

@Ozzie10aaaa: well I don't think that the management subsection currently makes any sense because "lipid pneumonia" is not self-limiting disease. I would rather consider it as a symptom. The source you have specified actually underlines that there is no specific evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of this lung disease., so this must be cited. Best.
