spirit in the dark edit

tracklist was delted because it was obiously fake —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.114.73.248 (talk) 02:06, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Guilty is not a song it showed up on youtube but the actual song was Bossy —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.114.95.139 (talk) 19:35, 6 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletion/Move edit

I really think that this should be deleted. The album cover is just a picture from a photoshoot a while ago, and Popcrunch.com just put "Spirit in the Dark" on it, and said it was the cover. Only "Bossy", has been released, and many sources have stated that not only is "Playground", not the lead single, but it is not even a real song. Other sources say she has only recorded 5 songs, and that she is in early stages of recording. Other reliable sources state that the album will not be named "Spirit In the dark", so if not deleted, we should switch this article to "Lindsay Lohan's forthcoming album". Also, it is rumored to be delayed, and many sources say so, to March 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoelmo (talkcontribs) 03:53, 27 October 2008

Fake album cover? edit

Another editor has uploaded the image Image:Spiritinthedark.jpeg. If it is fake, it should be deleted. -- Eastmain (talk) 04:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

KEEP THE PAGE THE WAY IT IS edit

Unless you have a RELIABLE source, do not delete or change ANYTHING! The page looks really good. The cover was actually confirmed to be what it is now, and the tracklist has been highly rumored, and Motown even said that the tracks were real, and that it was a double disc CD.

Release Date edit

Serioulsy answer. Do you guys think the album is coming out November 4, 2008? I mean, Lindsay will not release any info, and it is only two days until it comes out. Not only that, it is gonna FLOP! Only Bossy has been released. It did not even generate much buzz. No single, No info. I think it should be delayed another month. If not, I think it will not even make the top 50 on the Billboard 200. What Do You Think?

Time to delete this thing? edit

Before I take it to AFD, I'd like to hear some opinions. This article is showing the risk of allowing articles about future albums ... the artist has apparently dropped the project, and no progress is being made towards release. Any and all information about what was going to be on "Spirit in the Dark" is of questionable relevancy, because we are at the point that we have no idea whether the album that may eventually be released has any relationship to the one that was being discussed. I think we should scrap this article, and put a paragraph in the Lindsay Lohan article summarizing the history of this failed release.—Kww(talk) 15:17, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I tend to agree that the article should be scrapped with some redirects to Lindsay Lohan, where some details could be added about the history of the project and the singles related to it. Do we have a source that it has been scrapped, or are we just assuming that to be the case? Either way, I think the article should be removed. Ward3001 (talk) 19:18, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
No real source beyond the announcement that she had stopped working on it, it being two months after the supposed release date, and the complete absence of any "Lindsay back in recording studio" articles. You know that if she hit the studio, the tabloids would light up with the info.—Kww(talk) 13:27, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

It shouldn't be deleted..look at this source lohan herself stated that she called back her manager to resume work on the album......and look at this source it says the album will be released in Spring 2009.

Regarding your last source, that is hardly a reliable statement. Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Thank you. Erzsébet Báthory(talk|contr.) 11:21, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Her new interview in Interview magazine made it sound like she's considering starting over from scratch or doing a whole other album.[1] Lindsay Lohan and WP:CRYSTAL type material just isn't a good mix. I support turning this article into a redirect to Lindsay Lohan, with the added note that this never-was material needs to be severely trimmed down over there already, and should not be bloated up by adding even more material from this article. Siawase (talk) 13:44, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

what are you talking about, she doesnt even mention this album in the interview.......she's just saying what pharell told her, that he wants the album to have a new sound........which resulted in "playground".... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anywhere But Home (talkcontribs) 16:36, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Unless there's something on the second page (that I can't see because I don't subscribe), I share ABH's confusion.—Kww(talk) 16:41, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Apologies, I'm referring to this segment (which yes, is on page 2, odd, I seem to be able to access it.)
LL: You know who said something like that to me recently? Pharrell Williams. He's an amazing guy. He's only been really kind to me whenever I've met him. He said, "I'd love to make a great record with you, but I want to take you out of all the elements that you're used to. Let's go away. Let's go somewhere nice where you can be focused, and let's make an album there." I really respected that because not only is it hard for someone to just say something like that, it's nice that, as much as I admire him, he would even take the time to say that to me. But it's true. That's what it takes.
LH: You've just got to go someplace where no one knows you.
LL: But it's so impossible for me to actually do that. When I was in Dubai, there was still press lined up around the hotel.
Doesn't sound to me like she's talking about a project that's already finished. Siawase (talk) 16:50, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Again, SHE IS JUST SAYING WHAT PHARELL TOLD HER BEFORE SHE STARTED TO WORK WITH HIM ON THE ALBUM....THEN CAME PLAYGROUND...... Anywhere But Home (talk) 16:56, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

It seems unlikely that the comment refers to Playground. It's a new interview and Lohan said Pharrell made the comment "recently", while Playground was recorded last summer. But really, it was just a sidenote anyway. The status of the album is very much up in the air with or without this latest interview. Siawase (talk) 17:07, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

give her some time, you saw what she said in the accesshollywood interview....she called back her manager to resume work on the album......lets just wait....17:15, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Also, i saw this pic of lindsay in december 2008 holding a CD........that shows that she is working on the album....Anywhere But Home (talk) 17:15, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's absurd. It doesn't say anything about the album in question. The CD could be by one of millions of artists who are not Lohan. It could be computer software on a CD. It could be a CD of photos she took. If someone takes a pic of me holding a CD, does that mean I'm working on an album? This is an encylcopedia, not a playground for ridiculously unverifiable speculation. Ward3001 (talk) 18:39, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

ok, fine....it was silly of me to mention that photo..........but thats besides the point.......the point is that she is resuming work on the album.........so, sooner or later...she will finish work on it...and release it......so, theres no point in deleting the article...especially after all the work thats been put on it......Anywhere But Home (talk) 20:27, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

We don't know whether she is resuming work on the album. And she doesn't have a good track record for finishing projects, so I think the default should be delete for now and restore if the album is completed. For anyone concerned about losing the information the entire page can be copied on to a sandbox page created on your user page. Ward3001 (talk) 20:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'm just going to redirect, so the history won't be lost. No need to sandbox it.—Kww(talk) 20:35, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The album will be released.....i just found this

Anywhere But Home (talk) 11:00, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Read more closely ... that's about the album after Spirit in the Dark. Even more a case of crystal-balling than this one.—Kww(talk) 12:39, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
