In the article on Limbus, "adultery" was said to be a Limbu form of marriage. While adultery can certainly result in a Limbu man and woman being forced to become "man and wife", this certainly was never an acceptable form of marriage. It is safe to assert that adultery is prevalent everywhere but is not an acceptable form of marriage anywhere. Adulterous Limbu couples would be ostracized by Limbu society and, in many cases, forced to migrate from their villages to neighbouring India. Therefore, I edited the "adultery" bit.

The ethnographic map posted here is debatable. I have seen this map before and it does not seem to represent the ethnic diversity accurately. Perhaps it will be better to replace it with Dr. Harka Gurung's ethnographic map. He was an authority in this subject.

Copyedit

I've added a copyedit tag - from the looks of the article history, I'm guessing that many of you contributors have English as a second language? so there are a few problems with the grammar and syntax, and a few peculiar phrasings.

No, that is not a reliable source according to our policy at WP:RS - it's a membership ethnic organisation, you really need an academic source. I note that the text you are trying to add is like text added by a now blocked editor. Dougweller (talk) 18:25, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

You can't just take a sentence out of that website and stick it into a paragraph of existing text. The most you could do is say "one kirat organisation has described the kirats as "...brave and doughty warriors and very deft archers." Which doesn't really help much. Particularly as the website is talking about the Rai rather than the Limbu. If you want to say that historically the Limbu were warriors and were noted for their skill with the bow, find a reliable source that says that.--Elen of the Roads (talk) 19:09, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I did my best with what I saw. A lot of the material was vague, confusing, and unclear. Something was probably lost in the translation to this wikipedia page. This article probably needs more work, citations to verifiable sources, and then after the content is verified and firmed up a bit, perhaps another copyedit.
