Name of the series

For the record, the name of the series Lilyhammer points back to 1988, when IOC leader Juan Antonio Samaranch announced Lillehammer as the host of the olympic winter games in 1994, and mispronounced the name. He said: "...and the decision is....LILYHAMMER!". This has become a legendary moment in Norway's history. Any other reason stated is simply incorrect. If you do a Google search for "the decision is Lillehammer" or ¨ "the decision is Lillyhammer" you'll get plenty of Norwegian entries referring to that moment. Use Google Translate if necessary. I've changed 'mispronounced' to 'pronounced'. I note that Lillehammer refers to the Norwegian pronunciation; I'm not clear that there is an accepted anglophonic pronunciation but I've only heard the 'wrong' one. Do anglophones pronounce Paris wrongly too? StephenDawson (talk) 15:09, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

US region 1 DVD

Will there ever be a US region 1 DVD release? Note that the audio content is mixed English and Norwegian, and that the Norwegian editions may only subtitle "foreign" English content, not subtitle the Norwegian content in English? -96.237.4.73 (talk) 21:33, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

First original series by Netflix

Is this really “the first original series by Netflix.”? The article on Netflix states that House of Cards is the first “original content” they “acquired,” and that two seasons of Lilyhammer were “picked up” along with a new season of Arrested Development in late 2011. To some degree this is semantics, sure, but given the somewhat landmark nature of this claim (as evinced by this article in GQ magazine [1]), I feel it may be important to be clear about. Disrespect

Seriously, how is a television series given precedence over the actual placename (and famous host of many winter olympics)? This is supposed to be an encyclopedia, show some respect. This should be the article for the placename and the show should be the redirect. I'm not even Norwegian, but frankly this is ridiculous. -- 109.77.126.152 (talk) 01:29, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Third season

Here, it says 3rd season was ordered with airdates unknown. However, the source referenced says it's unknown whether season 3 will be ordered or not. How's that possible - sentence stating about season 3 being already ordered reference to a source that says no such thing happened yet? Gevorg89 (talk) 08:40, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

In Rolling Stone today they inverviewed Steven. He gave a date for start of production of season three. I added that to the wikipedia page.
