Talk:Licensing Act 2003

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

Does anyone agree we should include a list of granted licenses, its information after all? It is in the public domain, but it is terribly hard to find.

We could do with more information edit

It would be helpful to have a bit more information on details of the act. In particular, we should aim to answer these questions:

  1. There have been some pubs/bars that open past normal licensing hours on some days of the week, even before this new Licensing Act was conceived. What are the main differences between the "Flexible opening hours" provision that's regarded as the main aspect of the act and these places?
  2. What has happened to the concept of drinking up time?
  3. Has this really forced some places to shorten their opening hours, as was implied by an announcement in one pub last night?
  4. What kinds of regulations on food, entertainment, etc. are covered by the act?

I re-inserted this section after it was removed. The article on the Zoo Bar is completely relevant and even central to the Licensing Act, and needs to remain. - Freechild 16:48, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

easier to get licence for recorded music than live edit
