This was a very strong article overall. I didn’t really see too many grammatical and typographical errors. Most sentences were concise adn clear. I’d refrain from using the semicolon whenever possible so you can have two separated thoughts instead of one that bleeds into the other. I think this prevents you from having run on sentences and extended claims. My edits referring to this can be seen below. It would also be interesting to learn more about how the salamander got its name. The description starts off with something like this but an etymology section would be great! Overall the edits that you have contributed are very thorough and very detailed. There were a few grammatical errors and errors in punctuation that I fixed. You also had a few issues in sentence structure. I rearranged the sentences and the wording to make it more clear and understandable. In the habitat section the first two sentences seem like they are information from a scholarly source, however there is no citation, I would add a citation if needed. There is a few sentences in geographic distribution that also seem like they are from scholarly sources. I would add a citation if those are pieces of information either directly or paraphrased from the sources cited. I also noticed this in some of the other sections including reproduction and life cycles, parental care, and mating, so I would be careful and just double check that. I also think an etymology section would be fascinating. As a reader it would be intriguing to learn about where the salamander got its unique name. I think the addition of more images with captions that capture the salamanders color and shape would help illustrate a better idea for the reader. I also think a taxonomy image or diagram such as a cladogram or something of sorts could help one visualize an idea of the disagreement that you describe. I thought the section about acoustic behavior was extremely interesting and very thoroughly explained. Overall I think the edits were very thorough and well thought out and detailed. I think maybe just reading through one time and looking for things you may have missed or reading over to see if any sentences don't make sense will prove helpful. I made sure to change a few places where I thought the structure or organization could be better. I also edited for minor errors such as grammar and spelling. Overall I thought the edits were very helpful to the article as a whole and contributing to understanding of the species. I added more information about physiology and also edited some of the citations to make them more appropriate for the information provided. Britneys99 (talk) 21:07, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
