editthis is not advertisement, but is a factual representation of a company based in Chicago, IL.
Our competitors, and a company we have worked with, Sotheby's is allowed a page. We do not understand why we are having our page deleted.
Leslie Hindman, our namesake, used to be a television host on HGTV, and has been a key player in the auction market. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skeyelab (talk • contribs) — Skeyelab (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
- Sotheby's is not "allowed a page"; somebody who doesn't work for Sotheby's created an article about that notable firm, and other editors have improved it. You have a blatant conflict of interest, and should not be involved in creating, or even editing, an article in such circumstances. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:01, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
i agree. my article is a factual summary of a notable firm in the auction world. i do not expect Leslie Hindman Auctioneers to be a household name, but in the small circle that is the auction world, they are quite a notable firm.
This is not an advertisement, it is a factual, and soon to be cited article. Skeyelab (talk) 18:49, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- It is an advertisement. You work for the company and you are writing this article. That's just not allowed at Wikipedia. Period. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
