The link to the image "Migration.jpg" is not correct. I want to link to a file on commons with the same name, but since there is an image on the English wikipedia with the same name, it shows that one.. Ruigeroeland (talk) 13:12, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

There are records dating back to 1100 about migrating butterflies (probably a Pieris species) from Bavaria to the Duchy of Saxony and from 1248 about the migration of yellow butterflies in Japan.

There is no information offered on how primitive animals like butterflies know how to migrate. This is the most interesting thing about migration - not that they do it (which is all this article discusses), but how they do it. How does a newly hatched e.g. Monarch butterfly know how to fly all the way to Mexico to a tiny area of just a few trees? Error for wind direction? edit
Under Flight, it seems that the wind helping Painted Lady is a tailwind not a headwind. Peterpj77 (talk) 23:54, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
