This opening was used at MIT Strategic Games Society from about 1966 on ... it is not noteworthy in itself, nor did it have a single inventor. Collect (talk) 13:10, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I, too, agree that it is difficult to believe there is any interest in the Lepanto opening outside of Diplomacy fandom. Not enough general interest to take up Wikipedia space (which does not mean that there will ever be consensus to delete the thing). --Meyer (talk) 06:04, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I can speak as someone who has little experiance in these sorts of things (although thanks to article like this I am becomeing more and more interested).
