In May 2009 Preda Mihăilescu announced a proof of Leopoldt's conjecture for all number fields It's a year later now, sdo has he or has he not published a proof. Generally i think such formulation (in particular if timely not updated) have too much of volatile news character and not encyclopedic.--Kmhkmh (talk) 05:07, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

As far as I understand the situation, there is skepticism regarding the validity of his proof. It is however widely known that he has announced a proof and I find it of encyclopedic value to state that in this article. RobHar (talk) 17:06, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

The files are still on the archive and haven't been updated to indicate that they have been withdrawn, do you have a source available to confirm he has withdrawn his proof? RobHar (talk) 14:56, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
