I just finished reading your essay on the history of the Ponce Leones basketball team. As a former member of the team (1979-1980), I could not help but laugh at those players you felt warranted mention in this article. Chemba Lanuaza???? What a stiff!!! And Papote Agosto and Papirito Leon?? These guys you consider reknowned?? What about the person who their arena is named after, Mr. Pachin Vicens himself? He was only the greatest point guard in Puerto Rican history. And his nephew, Michael Vicens, who made a name for himself playing at Boston University? Then there's Joe Hatton, whose son Bobby Joe now plays on the National team. There are others: Angel "Conejo" Garcia, Cesar Bocachica Sr.(how can you mention his son and not him?), Richie Hernandez, Josean Baez, et al. None of those players you mention could hold a candle next to these guys, much less compete with them. If you're going to make the effort to create an information source such as this, you'd be doing all your readers a better service by doing some extra homework and knowing more about your subject matter. Even though I'm not the author of the article... as a resident of Ponce, and therefore a fan of the team since my childhood (I live two blocks away from the Auditorium) I agree with you on most of your case. However, your mention of Papote Agosto stands out to me, as I consider him to be a great player in his time and a focal part of what was then known as "Los Cuatro Jinetes del Apocalipsis" (with Toñito, Bobby, and Charlie.) Also, since I agree with you about Pachín, and I also consider the lack of mentioning his name in the article to be a crass mistake, I was trying to come up with some facts about him on the net, but (sadly!) I couldn't find any. Anyway, since I just came up to this article, I will try to work with it and improve its quality. I already added the logo and cleaned some links and added others, to make the article more readable. Anyway, feel free to leave here or in my Talk Page any suggestions for the article. Thanks!
