The “solution” to the case?

Surely it should be said that author David Williams has offered a *possible* solution to the case? There has been no new investigation by the police, nobody officially named. I’ve only heard the BBC abridged reading of his book, so there may be more in the full book, but it doesn’t appear that Williams provided any new forensic or substantive evidence for his “solution” – it’s just another motive to indicate who might have benefitted from Murfitt’s death. Also should it be mentioned in an article about Burt at all? He knew nothing of Williams. Such speculative ideas should be placed with an article on the murder, not a biography of the detective.
