Criticism - Leo Burnett and 4Kids are the devil

So, this used to be in the article:

Burnett's use of the animation medium to sell products was slyly given a nod in the anime series Pokémon. Disguised as muffled backwards dialogue (see backmasking), the character James of Team Rocket, is heard mumbling a line in the grip of a Pokémon's mouth. The line is "Leo Burnett and 4Kids are the devil, Leo Burnett!", mocking both Leo's introduction of animated commercialism, and 4Kids (who are known for upsetting fans with poor anime dubbing), which promotes the Nintendo games of the same title.

Here's the video that proves it: [1]

It was taken down because of "original research, youtube videos are not reliable source". I don't really think that's fair. I mean, just because it's on youtube, it's invalidated? Now, a good reason to not include this bit is if it was just coincidence, but I don't think it was. At least to my ears, James' speech in the regular version sounds like anything does when it's backwards, and when everything is backwards, his voice sounds exactly like it usually does. Now, the neutrality of this portion is definitely questionable, and so is the importance of it, but, to me at least, it definitely sounds like it was intentionally put in there. Anyone else want to corroborate what I'm hearing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zivlok (talkcontribs) 09:38, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Sure, it could have been intentionally put in there. By some YouTube user who thought he could get a kick out of editing some old Pokemon footage. We can't say for sure whether it's genuine or a hoax, so the safe thing to do is to exclude it entirely until a more reliable website can back-up the claim. Essentially the reason why it was removed in the first place. Unoispam (talk) 06:02, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Beleive me, it's genuine. IT IS REAL!!! I have the "Pokemon: Snow Rescue" DVD which contains that episode where the character James of Team Rocket actually says ,"Leo Burnett and 4Kids are the devil, Leo Burnett!" in reverse. If you don't beleive me, the episode's title is ,"The Whistle Stop ". Here's a link to the viedo clip of it (despite that clip's link being "Youtube" , this is exactly what is on that DVD I own and probably what was broadcasted on TV). I don't know how much more proof you can get. Watch the episode from somewhere. I don't think you can get official sources from the The Pokemon Company due to the nature of that quote, but if you look around on the web for this particular topic, you will see, this is real. - 24.36.115.4 (talk) 22:43, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes, It's real. I've checked for myself. Episode 130# "The Whistle Stop". When they are singing the motto AND when James is stuck in Victreebell. Check for yourself before you delete stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.192.65.63 (talk) 22:01, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Whoa. There's an article about the Pokemon Backmask on the Pokemon Wiki! I didn't see that coming. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.192.65.63 (talk) 22:09, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Well I'm pretty sure Leo Burnett is the owner of 4kids Bonelayer12864 (talk) 17:17, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

There's also articles on several other wikis such as Bulbapedia claiming that the voice actor Eric Stuart confirmed this at Matsuricon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.36.132.121 (talk) 03:16, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
