Germination time

edit

The main article could be improved if some mention were made of the lentil's germination time.

Two, I believe, early spring (2-3 weeks before spring frost) and one during mid-summer. Takes 80-110 days 'till harvest. writen by: WinterHillBotanicSociety 3:23EST 13 January 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.206.191.25 (talk) 20:25, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do lentils yield more than peas?

edit

What kind of yield can be expected from ten pounds (5 kilograms) of lentils, used as seed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.177.27.16 (talk) 01:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Australien lentil production in 2011

edit

The table shows Australia with 379,659 tons in 2011, > 150% more than the year before. This is the information found as well on the referenced source (http://faostat.fao.org/site/339/default.aspx). On the same page, Canada is scored as the 5th country for lentil production (?). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.233.250.7 (talk) 23:08, 21 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Nutritional value table: Why cooked?

edit

Why is cooked lentil (and not raw) in the nutritional value table? Article of soybean and pea have such tables of raw beans. (But article of lima bean has cooked, too.) It is confusing. Would not be better to have analogous, uniform tables? Ruwolf (talk) 06:53, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Missing: yield per acre / hectare

edit

Q: is there a Wikipedia standard template for including yield per acre / hectare of various crops? what sources would be deemed acceptable? USDA? grange outreach?
