I don't know how to make a reference, but here's a link to the page where Bengtsson's resignation is officially announced, including his letter of resignation: http://www.thegwpf.org/lennart-bengtsson-resigns-gwpf-voices-shock-and-concern-at-the-extent-of-intolerance-within-the-climate-science-community/ Maybe someone can make a reference? 82.217.85.140 (talk) 22:19, 16 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that, the trouble is that it's a primary source from an organisation with a poor reputation for fact-checking and accuracy, and so not a reliable source. Sorry it's taken some time, but I've now added citations to a better source and have shown some of the emerging context. . . dave souza, talk 23:05, 16 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I don't believe the cite to the blog post "Murdoch-owned media hypes lone metereologist's climate junk science" [1] is a RS for a BLP. Didn't we just go through this for the Guardian-hosted enviro blogs? --Pete Tillman (talk) 01:17, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
But in this case I suppose the "Questionable sources should only be used as sources of material on themselves" rule would apply. It's a letter to the source and a reaction by the source. 82.217.85.140 (talk) 22:15, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
There is nothing wrong with using thegwpf.org as a source for the statements made by Lennart Bengtsson, David Henderson or Nigel Lawson that it contains. It clearly meets all the criteria found in WP:SELFSOURCE. If anyone doubts that Lennart Bengtsson actually made the statement, it was quoted in full by the Financial Post and Canada Free Press and reported on by the Wall Street Journal and National Review. --Guy Macon (talk) 02:35, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
