Copley edit
As a resident of Copley it was disturbing to see the entry for Copley divert to Leigh Creek, a modern town (1980) which was a re-location of the coal mine town of prior years, and yet no history of the actual town of Copley which despite the lack of presence on Wikipedia does indeed exist as a gazetted town with its own unique history.
Within the town that so far apparently does not exist there is a wealth of knowledge about the supposedly non-existent town - so I will open the forum for contributions to the history of the town. ( please send to njcarney1@yahoo.com if the wiki process bewilders thee!)
For the minute, rest assured that Leigh Creek despite being a lovely town is in fact NOT Copley and that Copley is in fact a town of at least 100 residents and these residents do refer to the town in which they live in as Copley, NOT Leigh Creek.
This is the first entry of the town that does'nt exist and will be populated with historical and current information about the township to redress the rumour that Copley does not in fact exist...recent correspondence received by the author was..."you don't exist! Wikipedia re-directs us to a town that does exist - Leigh Creek - If the town which you claim to exist IN does not exist despite having a post code 5732, I must question whether or not YOU exist?"
How does one respond to such idiotic messages born from Wikipedia mis-information? Provide information quickly or else perhaps perceived reality created falsely will become elsewise!!!?
A recent survey of town residents confirmed that 100% that they indeed believed the town in which they lived was in fact Copley...not Leigh Creek!!...one possibly inebriated resident pointed out correctly that the place of public inebriation was in fact labeled the 'Leigh Creek Hotel' - possibly the cause of the original confusion?? Wow great job guys why dont you just go to maquarie university. Oh wait thats only for smart people
