"a police search of the Kiszczak's house and seized" It is either:

"a police search of Kiszczak's house and seized" [<-in this case, Maria Kiszczak, since she, the widow, is the one resident remaining] or "a police search of the Kiszczaks' house and seized" [<- Note the s' ]
