"Leaf miner" Vs "Leafminer" edit

Whilst this article uses the form "Leaf miner" from the page title downwards, all of the reference materials used are of the form "Leafminer". Is there a consensus as to which is appropriate? NinjaKid (talk) 22:43, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

does "leaf miner" refer to the insect or just to the larval stage edit

Is "leaf miner" analogous to "caterpillar", a term given to the larval stage of certain insects? Or is the adult still a leaf miner? Are the little critters in the leaves "leaf miners", or are they "leaf miner larvae"? Jonathan Tweet (talk) 20:02, 28 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Leafminers of North America edit

A good resource for this article would be Charley Eiseman's Leafminers of North America publication. Friesen5000 (talk) 23:39, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
