I don't think the info about the women of the region is pertinent to this article. However, I don't feel confident in removing it myself. Several edits were made to Canal du Midi by same user Cmukerji after the book by Chandra Mukerji Impossible Engineering about the building of the Canal du Midi came out. Agreed. It has nothing to do with Le Somail, contained personal opinions/suppostion and was probably also original research. I have removed it. Nancy ^talk 04:42, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
