Grandfather's biography may have been renamed from "Laurence" to "Lawrence", as we have many links to the redirect Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse.
Our cited sources National University of Ireland uses "Laurence E. Knox" [1].
Both given names may be useful to search in digital sources. --P64 (talk) 01:26, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Irish Times has published in the 21st century at least one other article on its founder, beside the one we cite, which is a version of his Dictionary of Irish Biography entry (2009). Namely:
Peter Murtagh, 02 Jan 2010: B6, "An Irishman's diary from Crimea: The daily routines of the Crimean War are brought to life with the discovery this year of a Victorian-era diary that belonged to Lawrence Knox, soldier and founder of The Irish Times"
By the way, it reports that he signed the front piece of his diary "LE Knox". --P64 (talk) 01:35, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
