Why is Chile included in two groups in the following quote?

"Some of the problems which the individual countries face are the way they are grouped together by their economic strengths according to LAFTA. The grouping was originally Argentina, Brazil, and Chile in one group, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela in the second group, and the last group which included Bolivia, Ecuador, and Paraguay."

the treaty of Montevideo is first given the date 1980, then 1960. 1960 is the correct date, as i'm sure the author is aware, but this error could be misleading to anyone new to the topic area.

Alalc was created in 1960; Aladi was created (and replaced Alalc) in 1980. I think that's where the confusion lies... but I'm not sure which one was created by the Treaty of Montevideo. --Lacarids (talk) 17:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
