non relevant redirect edit

The target page (Jonathan Rothberg) is not really relevant to the source page. There is only brief mention of the company buried in the target article (Jonathan rothberg).

User:JalenFolf why did you revert the change? The current redirect really makes no sense.

You don’t start an article with just the {{stub}} tag. You need to add more content to have any chance of your article not getting reverted. Please also consider reviewing WP:GNG. Jalen Folf (talk) 09:03, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sure, I appreciate the subject needs to be compliant with WP:GNG in order to merit an article. I am looking to gather up relevant sources and material to justify that. In the meantime, I put the stub there as having that seemed more right than the current redirect, which is totally wrong. If the stub is not the right placeholder, can you let me know what I should change the article to while I look at updating the contents of the article? As I said, the current redirect is "Wrong" (the target article really has nothing to do with "Laticrete International") and the stub seemed more "right" than what is there now. But again, if there is some other stop-gap change I can make, please let me know. Sinclair1990 (talk) 18:26, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
The only reason the redirect exists is the mention of the business in the article as owned by the subject’s parents. If you still believe this redirect should not exist despite this reason, you are free to start a discussion at WP:RFD. Jalen Folf (talk) 18:38, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
