Neuroendocrine basis? edit

Given the relatively recent discovery of the enteric nervous system (Sasselli V 2012 "The enteric nervous system." PMID 22290331), could there be some actual basis for this (of which I know nothing), or the idea of the "meridian" connection with the lung? A quick search turns up "Acupuncture for gastrointestinal disorders: myth or magic" (J J Y Sung, PMC 1773431), but I don't know anything about Chinese medicine other than that it exists, so.. Anyone?

(There probably should also be a template link PMID3 for PMC. There is this [1] on the Italian wikipedia, but it's not on the English one, or in the Commons - I don't know where templates are actually stored.) Jimw338 (talk) 16:41, 4 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
