Questions about some discrepancies

edit

In the third paragraph, we read "Laodicea is at Ladik", but in the second paragraph we read, "[Laodicea Combusta] was situated to the northwest of Iconium (now Konya)". On the disambiguation page for Laodicea, the second item reads "Laodicea Pontica in the Pontus", and if one clicks on that, it leads to a short article on Ladik, with a map showing it to be located in the north of present-day Turkey, on the Black Sea. If one clicks on "Iconium", it leads to an article headed "Konya" with a map showing that Iconium/Konya is located to the south and west of the center of present-day Turkey. If Laodicea "was situated to the northwest of Iconium", it cannot be Ladik. I think the statement in the third paragraph that says "Laodicea is at Ladik" may be wrong.CorinneSD (talk) 18:16, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
