History Section edit

The History section is in need of an overhaul. The person who wrote it has no understanding of how to use commas or capitalization properly. The section also uses biased language to describe the Native Americans who defended their land from the Landrum settlers. I've made my slight changes (mainly attention to grammar errors), but someone more knowledgeable about the history of the city should make further changes. If no one is up to the task, then the history section should be deleted as it is simply a copy and paste from The City of Landrum's Official (shudder) Website. As a Landrum native, I'm embarrassed. 192.246.231.63 06:27, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Jeff HumanReply

I don't know anything about the history of Landrum either, even though its where i grew up. I'll try to find out more, cause the sight really ought to have more than Landrum's Official Site. I did add to the schools, though. I figured it'd be nice if people knew that Grace Christian wasn't the only school in Landrum. So I added OP Earle, Landrum Middle, and Landrum High. Dana L. I fixed something that's been bugging me for a long time about this article. It was a word for word copy of the City of Landrum website, which I cited in my edits. I've altered them and took out much of the biased language that can be found on the city's website. I also deleted the flag that the section didn't cite sources as it is now cited and rewritten. I made a leap of faith and linked John Landrum to another article on John Landrum. It seems wholly likely to me that he is the same man, though that could easily be interpreted as original research. Oops, a touch more research implies it's not the same guy. Sorry. John Landrum link deleted. Humicroav (talk) 07:47, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Education edit

Landrum High School was listed as being in the City of Landrum. That is not true. Landrum High School is in Campobello, SC. It's stated on their website. Humicroav (talk) 21:02, 18 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
