merge proposal
editLand-based shark fishing is within the scope of this article. Since both articles are very sparse, I propose merging them. --Geronimo20 (talk) 05:24, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Support - Land based shark fishing, while scorned by some, is still land based gamefishing. I agree, merge them -Sjb956 (talk) 13:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Support - I agree. The shark is another fish along with the marlins, longtails, and others enumerated in the general article. There isn't enough non-WP:DICDEF material specific to the shark in the shark article to warrant a separate article. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:40, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Oppose - These two articles do not need to be merged. Land based shark fishing has a seperate identity, and it the standard term used to identify this sport. No offence intended, but we do not even use the terminology of land based game fishing in the United States. This would make the subject hard to find in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris Deaver (talk • contribs) 14:00, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
