Comment

The 4th paragraph says that Jawaharlal Nehru died in office (AFAIK on natural causes). The 6th paragraph says that Shastri is the only Indian PM to have died in office of natural causes.

Can someone clarify if this is true or not? I also checked Jawaharlal Nehru's entry in the wikipedia and no mention is made of any unnatural cause of death.

Thanks. --Das

I've removed the sentence about Shastri being the only one to die in office of natural causes. -- Arvindn 08:21, 10 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Controversy

Should there be a mention of the controversy about Shastriji's death? I believe it should be mentioned.. what say, friends? --Hpnadig 03:08, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The source which contains details about Shastri's death, is in fact a lopsided Pakistani review. I doubt the credibility of the source. I personally think that we need to have facts here rather than ifs and buts about Shastri's death. So Im removing the vague suspicions about his death Tnvikram (talk) 11:33, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

The last paragraph in 'Mystery behind Lal Bahadur Shastri's death' section should be either omitted or edited to reflect that Gregory Douglas is more of a conspiracy theorist, that book is riddled with inaccuracies and he also published a book claiming JFK was assassinated by CIA. Hypd09 (talk)

Was Lal Bahadur Shastri an 'Orphan'?

It says 'orphan child of a penniless widow'. How can one be an orphan when a parent (his mother) was alive?

I've removed that and the associated POV nonsense, good catch. —SpacemanSpiff 02:54, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
