Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Water Area Calculation

edit

The area of water seems to be off compared to adjacent counties

lorain: 431sqmi cuyahoga: 787sqmi lake: 1944sqmi ashtabula: 666sqmi

I can't imagine lake county's water area being three times the size of ashtabula county's water area. perhaps it's 1944sqkm instead of sqmi

Okay...I see how I got tripped up. All the other counties show sqmi followed by (sqkm) -- Lake County shows sqkm followed by (sqmi) -- pick one and stick to it, please. Thanks.

Township template

edit

The "Townships in Lake County, Ohio" template curently shows

Concord • Kirtland • LeRoy • Madison • Mentor • Painsville • Perry • Willoughby

Whoever can edit this, please do, as the following are true:

  • Kirtland, Mentor, and Willoughby Townships are long defunct
  • The proper spellings for two others are "Leroy" (no internal capital) and "Painesville" (two e's).

Environment Thoughts

edit

"Scorecard[13] ranks Lake County among the worst 10% of counties in the U.S. in terms of cancer risk, developmental and reproductive toxicants, and other categories as well; this is comparable with most major cities and densely populated areas."

This line is very misleading, according to the website this was stated in 2002 and then in 2004 it was turned around and stated it was the top 10%.

I really do not know that this can be used as a credited source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.157.226.130 (talk) 15:00, 28 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
