The facts in the side panel do not seem to be correct. A volume of 1.14 x 10-5 km3 equates to only 11,400 m3 which is a tiny volume of water. Simple maths shows this to be wrong. If the water is 15m deep then this volume of water would only occupy an area of 800 m2 or 40m x 20m !!

A more authoritive source from when the dam was refurbished

[1] Severn Trent Water - The Ladybower Reservoir Dam Refurbishment Scheme

gives the following figures which seem much more plausible:

Surface area 210 hectares

Max volume of reservoir: 27,800,000 m3

Since an hectare is 10,000 m2, that would correspond to an average water depth of around 15m which seems reasonable with probably a maximum depth of around 30m.

Length edit

There two different figures given for the maximum length. In the main text it says 4.8 km in the Infobox it says 4 km. This needs correction as it affects surface area, storage capacity. --Drgkl (talk) 11:17, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
