Lake Alice edit

I know that google maps is hardly definitive and has some awful mistakes, but in Terrain view it shows Lake Alice as having an elevation of only 160 metres above sea level. see map. There is however a small stream that appears to drop from a hanging valley into what google has marked as Lake Alice, which is more like what is depicted in the photograph accompanying the article. Could someone with an NZGS map of the area please verify this? It is possible that either google or the waterfall sites or both have it wrong.

Actually, it's not that waterfall. The falls described in this article are located in Doubtful Sound, which is at least 35 km south of the location you described. Specifically, they are located near Deep Cove, a branch of that fjord. The google maps labels it as "Lady Alice Falls" not "Alice Falls". The falls is above and left of that label. themaeetalk 00:43, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
