Orthography

edit

The consonants presented in this article do not conform to standard ALMG orthography for the phonemes of Mayan languages. For example, it lists the glottal stop as 〈7〉 instead of 〈'〉. Is there a reason for that? Kaldari (talk) 23:59, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

How many speakers?

edit

The information on the number of speakers here is contradictory. On the one hand there is a blunt statement that the language is "spoken by all of the 1,000 Lacandon people in the state of Chiapas in Mexico." On the other, in the second paragraph it says that only "most Lacandon people speak Lacandon Maya." In the infobox, a number of 600 is given. A more definitive source is needed. 850 C (talk) 15:51, 18 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect chart

edit

/ʋ/ is incorrectly categorized as a (labio)velar sound instead of a labiodental sound SaavayuAdrin (talk) 14:31, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
