NOT an opera! edit

This is a cycle of three songs. Not an opera! - Kleinzach 09:39, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two different works by Rossini? edit

A recording on the hyperion label [1] would imply that the Soirees Musicales No. 9 (Voga, o Tonio benedeto) and the three-song cycle were different things. This is not surprising as "Venetian Boat Song" had a more general meaning (Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words had three of them). Perhaps there should be a Soirees Musicales article (merging in La Danza) and leave the three song-cycle just a mention in List of compositions by Gioachino Rossini?DavidRF (talk) 16:32, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, two works. Some merging with La Danza and links from Liszt and La boutique fantasque would help with the orphan issue.DavidRF (talk) 17:42, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
