Circulation?

I know that this paper must circulate more than 500 copies a day. Is this in thousands? If so it should be marked as such on the chart. Ryanfrei (talk) 17:58, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

La Repubblica has 3.209 daily readers and 473.788 copies sold every day. Il Corriere della Sera 2.870 daily readers and 534.427 copies. (Official sources: Audipress and Ads data, february 2010). So it is, as a matter of fact, uncertain wich is "the first" italian newspaper. La Repubblica is much more evenly diffused and read all over the country, while Il Corriere is more read and sold in the north/north east area, above all in Milan area. This is one of the reason why many major investitors prefer to advertise on La Repubblica instead of on Il Corriere, another reason is being the first's advertising spaces medium price 1/3 cheaper that the latter. the Title

la Repubblica without an initial upper case letter? That's fine for a masthead, but otherwise very silly indeed, and I am surprised Wikipedia goes along with such foolishness. Rothorpe (talk) 19:13, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

"Moderate left"

This term, along with the description of the paper as "progressive" is very subjective, since it cedes the definition of "moderate" to bourgeois liberals. They for example take an extremist anti-proletarian position by supporting the bourgeois ex-Prime Minister Renzi, who has attacked worker rights with his "Jobs Act". This newspaper is not remotely left-wing, whatever its past, it is anti-worker and thoroughly bourgeois today. They are about as left-wing as Hillary Clinton or Tony Blair.
