Open Water edit

As far as I know, "Sole Survivor" was -never- called Open Water by the band at any time. It was a fan name from the start. If anything, it is the end result of "Gifty", which was a random demo they had since around I-Empire, I think.

Regardless, "Open Water" was never an official demo name, at any time. Youtube users and fans called it that because it was a line in the song and nothing more. --74.43.21.102 (talk) 23:49, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Free of charge edit

Sorry, but what does "released free of charge" mean? Will the album itself be free or will it just be significantly cheaper because the band itself needn't pay for it. --cv. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.7.178.7 (talk) 13:48, 17 October 2009 (UTC) That is word for word what Tom said what that means I don't know if there still will be a cost. Don't Delete edit

I feel that their is enough information and sources to keep this page now. Tyb222 (talk) 07:13, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

I think the title might be all uppercase...in the download of Hallucinations it has it written asd "LOVE" Should we change to reflect that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.79.235 (talk) 23:43, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Atomic Segue (Sunshine) is one song. edit

unless Tom forgot to put an (X) next to "Segue", which I doubt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.97.149.168 (talk) 21:35, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

iTunes edit

Is this really going to be out on iTunes? I've been checking on it since yesterday and it's still not up there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.116.4.185 (talk) 02:31, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Original Talk Page edit

I can't figure out how to move the original Talk page for this article, that was moved to Talk:LOVE_(Angels_&_Airwaves_album) when the article was renamed, back here. Can someone do so or let me know how? Undoing the edit that moved it does not work, and I don't see a Move link. Mtrolley (talk) 15:21, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I will copy-paste the content here and then request a history merger. --IllaZilla (talk) 22:08, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Track 1 edit

There seems to be some speculation over whether the correct title of Track 1 is Et ducit mundum per luce or Et ducit mundum per lucem. My opinion is the second, since the actually MP3s downloadable from the Angels & Airwaves site have been tagged with that title. Mtrolley (talk) 15:21, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Letters to God, Part II edit

Would some mention of the relationship between Letters to God by Box Car Racer be appropriate, given that that is presumably the Part I? 131.162.147.113 (talk) 06:10, 12 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mark Hoppus Remix edit

I tried to add the fact that Mark Hoppus remixed Hallucination to the bonus tracks but it was taken down. I don't see why this shouldn't be there, it's true and it's useful information to anyone trying to make a complete AVA collection. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nog97 (talkcontribs) 04:54, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Helping people "try to make a complete AVA collection" is not among Wikipedia's goals. The remix track was a separate digital download that isn't part of the album or its tracklist. Worth mentioning in the article prose (if reliably sourced) but don't shoehorn it into the tracklist as if it were part of the album. --IllaZilla (talk) 06:22, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
It wasn't a seperate download though. It was given with the album which I think constitutes a part of the album. Nog97 (talk) 11:13, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
No, it wasn't. I got it; If you downloaded the album, you were sent a thank-you email with a separate link to download the remix track. If it were "given with the album" it would've just come with the initial album download, which it didn't. It's not part of the tracklist. This sort of thing has been done by many other artists: you buy a CD and it comes with a URL and a password to download some extra content. That doesn't make the extra content part of the album; It's not like these were bonus tracks that were on the CD, or part of the iTunes album. --IllaZilla (talk) 18:33, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think that it needs to be included somewhere though. Perhaps adding a "trivia" section to the page or something similar. I think that this while it may not be technically part of the track list deserves to be mentioned. A trivia section could also mention the connection between Letters to God 1 and 2 and I am sure that there are other things as well. What do you think? Nog97 (talk) 20:37, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
No trivia sections, please. Like I said, if it can be if reliably sourced then it can be mentioned in the article's prose, such as in the "Release and special editions" section. I'm not saying don't include the information, I'm saying (A) it doesn't belong in the track listing, and (B) source it. --IllaZilla (talk) 21:02, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
http://www.blinkdisasters.com/angelsandairwaves/albums do you think that would qualify as a valid source? Nog97 (talk) 21:25, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
That looks like a fansite, and also like it copied its content from Wikpiedia. --IllaZilla (talk) 21:30, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

(edit conflict) Yeah, definitely copied verbatim from Wikipedia sometime in Feb/March 2010. --IllaZilla (talk) 21:38, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
The Billboard source is fine. Write something into the "Release and special editions" section and cite the Billboard article. --IllaZilla (talk) 21:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
