Rebuilds edit

I am seeing external evidence for two rebuild projects. Sandringham Locomotive Company own two tenders on the Mid-Norfolk Railway, and the NBLPG seem to be running the Engine 61662 Appeal. SLC site suggests building two locos with tenders that can be swapped to give variation (http://www.rubihorn.demon.co.uk/b17/the-project.html), although the idea of two locomotives is no longer mentioned on the new(?) site (http://b17steamloco.com/html/hm_project.html). The Engine 61662 Appeal site gives contrary information about the identity of the rebuild, and shows a different tender to those at Dereham (http://www.engine61662appeal.co.uk/index.html). I assume that these are different groups - but both seem to track back to the NBLPG. Any ideas? DiverScout (talk) 17:20, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

What on earth does NBLPG mean? North British Liquid Petroleum Gas? Can it be defined or linked to another wiki page? Sjtaunton (talk) 12:42, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not much of an idea, but, being on a railway page, I guessed something like North British Locomotive Preservation Group. Guess what, you are free to edit Wikipedia pages yourself and it would have taken no more time to positively amend the article than it did to post sarcastic comments on a talk page. Go figure... I am very sorry, I had merely attempted to be a little witty; I didn't think long and hard enough to imagine there might be any other definition of LPG than the gas... Now you state that it makes perfect sense. Sjtaunton (talk) 20:03, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
No worries. I think that there may have been a sense of humour failure. :) DiverScout (talk) 21:17, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Locomotive 61662 to be rebuilt edit

That is correct. The LNER B17 61662 'Manchester United' is in the works to be recreated or rebuilt. I feel this could very well go in this section of locomotives in preservation section. WhippetWild (talk) 23:46, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

British Railways history? edit

Just visiting and noticing a lack of any real history for the period of use under British Railways, or in use at any time, come to that.

The date withdrawn (my reason for visiting) can be found in the Infobox, but one might expect to find it in the body of the text.
