The LKW-MAUT is a toll, not a tax edit

  • "Maut" translated into English literally means toll.
  • The system used to collect the LKW-MAUT, Toll Collect, is refered to as a "toll" collection system in the article and other media.
  • The english speaking version of the Toll Collect website [1] calls it a "toll"
  • The German Wikipedia article calls the LKW-MAUT a toll.
  • German mainstream media such as Der Spiegel refer to the system as a "toll" [2]
  • English speaking mainstream media such as the BBC refer to the system as a "toll" [3]
  • The system resembles other tolls in the world such as those on Italian and French motorways. It charges a fee according to usage. The only difference is that the toll booths have been replaced by an automated electronic system.

Why is MAUT written with capital letters in title and article? edit

... as if it was an abbriviation? User:Nillerdk (talk) 08:07, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Obviously because someone's German was weak. A better question is: 'Who is going to fix it?' Answer: Aldenrw (talk) 14:07, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Because it is written in capital letters on the road sign, I think? 78.35.215.214 (talk) 16:32, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page edit

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
