There is no evidence suggesting he was LGBT so I'm removing his name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.71.46.128 (talk) 01:38, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Need citation for LGBT population of Ireland

edit

The following sentence from the lead paragraph seems to indicate that the LGBT population of Ireland is 5% - 10% of the total population:

Between 300,000 - 600,000 people in Ireland are either gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender/transexual.

This seems quite high. I doubt this is accurate. I'm not sure how somebody would accurately estimate this number. Can someone find any reliable source for this information to cite? CosineKitty (talk) 13:41, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

My guess is someone based that number on a theory that 5-10% of all people are LGBT. I'm not sure if anyone's made a better attempt to find out how many people in Ireland are LGBT. You're right, the number needs to be cited or removed. --Alynna (talk) 13:36, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
After almost a month, no citation for this population range has been added. I just removed it. CosineKitty (talk) 19:49, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Grace O Malley-Gay?

Has anyone any links for this? She has a son and killed the murder of her male Spanish financee! She was not a lesbian so evidence is needed to classify her as bi-sexual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.101.236.146 (talk) 18:48, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fungie! Gay! What will Peig think!?

edit

Is this section some kind of joke? 'Ireland's most famous gay dolphin'? Does Ireland have a lot of celebrity gay dolphins? Maybe one of them wrote this section on Fungie. Apparently 'some say' Fungie's estrangement from other dolphins is due to dolphin homophobia. Well we all know how predjudiced dolphins can be. I'm going to remove this section. It's ridiculous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.81.6.115 (talk) 17:15, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm moving the linkfarm of individual organizations, websites, etc. here to the talkpage per WP:EL and because Wikipedia is not a repository for external links. Surely something can be made of these links as sources.
