Query on article name capitalisation
Surely this article should be "Ligue Européenne de Natation" as per [1]. I will make the move in a few days if there is no response. Yboy83 (talk) 12:19, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

- Oppose The English term seems to be either "European Swimming League" or "European Swimming Federation" -- league has more results. "Ligue Européenne de Natation" is a French term. In English usage, League has more results on Google news, scholar and web whilst Federation has more results in book sources. I'd actually rather be putting in a RM for a move to European Swimming League. --Russavia Dialogue 09:14, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- The intention of the WP:RM was to correct the capitalisation of the article which is clearly incorrect as can be seen on their website. However looking at WP:NAME#Organizations, I see your point. That said the usage of the word "League" in English implies a league or championship, which in this case, the organisation is not.
- I make the following suggestion - move the article to "Ligue Européenne de Natation" to correct capitalisation which is clearly wrong, then continue this discussion on this talk page to decide on how to best satisfy WP:NAME#Organizations and make the change at a later date.
