On Camera Shoe Disintegration in early 90's ?

edit

I happened to work as a contract computer programmer at L.A. Gear in the early 90's. - about the time they made the Fortune 500 or even better, I just remember some clipping or magazine cover in the foyer, but not the details - shortly thereafter one of their endorsers was wearing their shoes in a basketball game and one or both literally came apart on national T.V. In my mind's eye I see a close-up but that may be pure fantasy.

I'm sure I'm not imagining the event but I can't remember the details. Can anyone remember, or even better, document this?YAC (talk) 03:09, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

It occurred on ESPN in the 1990-1991 season in the Marquette vs Kansas game. Robb Logterman of Marquette destroyed both his shoes during the game. He was know for ability to completely wreck LA Gears. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.100.209.194 (talkcontribs) 19:30, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is the parent Frasers Group or ACI International

edit

The lead says the brand is currently owned by Frasers Group, and there is evidence for that,[1] but the infobox says ACI International, and there's evidence for that too.[2] I can't find anything about if ACI sold the brand to Frasers, or if it's joint ownership or licensing. I just don't like the discrepancy. 70.163.220.139 (talk) 23:29, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
