Until Latam doesn't announce officially on their website a new logo it will stay as it is. Cruks (talk) 18:44, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

That's not how this works. Reliable secondary sources have confirmed that this is LATAM's new logo. Continuing to deny it is simply ignoring a verifiable fact. Conifer (talk) 00:07, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

3O Response: I am coming here from WP:3O. It seems the company has already announced the new logo. Multiple secondary sources support this and that is the standard of the encyclopedia. Not only should we not wait for a primary source, but we should not accept a primary source unless it is supported by a secondary one. Chillum 04:28, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Now we have a problem with the website. Just great! Cruks (talk) 02:20, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal edit

Consensus for merging. Redirected to this article. As far as I can see, there is no useful content on LATAM (airline) that isn't yet on LATAM Airlines Group. SSTflyer 04:59, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Merge LATAM (airline) into LATAM Airlines Group--John123521 (Talk-Contib.) RA 10:12, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Support LATAM is the name of the airline group, the airlines themselves still operate under the names LAN and TAM so strictly speaking LATAM is not an airline. Richard3120 (talk) 20:28, 14 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
It is more or less like IAG, British Airways and Iberia and all the others still firm under their name. IAG was the blueprint for LATAM. Its a company. Cruks (talk) 05:34, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
The merge is now effective, and the airlines have been renamed. See http://www.iata.org/publications/Pages/code-search.aspx, as well as the web sites of the respective airlines. -- Denis.arnaud (talk) 11:52, 6 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes - since I made my comment above the separate LAN and TAM airlines have been rebranded as LATAM across the board. So it makes even less sense now to have separate articles for LATAM (airline) and LATAM Airlines Group as all the airlines under the group now have the same name. Richard3120 (talk) 12:32, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Support The content of the LATAM (airline) article really needs to be incorporated into the LATAM Airlines Group article, since as pointed out above, LATAM is not an airline. There is however an airline called "LATAM Airlines" - this is the legal name of the successor of LAN Airlines (Chile), which would allow us to move LATAM Chile to LATAM Airlines. Only the subsidiaries of LATAM Airlines are called LATAM <country name>, eg. LATAM Argentina or LATAM Peru. At what point will this discussion end and action be taken? summersso (talk) 15:17, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Commentsː In English Wikipedia we have combined Lufthansa and Airasia (Not Lufthansa Group/Airasia Group) as well as separated Scandinavian Airlines/SAS Group and United Airlines/United Continental Holdings. Rebrand of the airline name is not s strong reason of the merger. Chunhim lai (talk) 07:47, 3 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
