Poorly Sourced Biographical Information

edit

The Wikipedia article on the rapper "L.V." draws on a dead Yahoo Music link for two of its facts (that the letters "L.V." stand for "Large Variety" and that the rapper is a survivor of a shooting. I did a quick web search looking for a bio for the singer and found an AllMusic entry (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/lv-mn0000100472/biography) that identifies its author ("Steve Huey"). The AllMusic bio also states that "L.V." stands for "Large Variety" and that the singer survived a shooting, but these claims are not sourced, and the wording of the bio is so similar to the wording in the Wikipedia article that this seems like circular referencing (source #1 cites source #2 which cites source #1....). Should the Wikipedia article's statements about the meaning of "L.V." and about the singer's having survived a shooting be removed under WP:BLPREMOVE? Or is there a way to post that the article needs to be better sourced? Drtheuth (talk) 15:02, 13 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
