I started this page in separation from Lp space because:

  • The term   is often used in papers, and it is easier to see its definition clearly in the beginning, than to look for its definition in the long page talking about Lp spaces.
  • This term has applications in economics (and maybe also in other fields) which I wanted to make clear. --Erel Segal (talk) 06:25, 13 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Strong recommendation edit

The section Sequence space begins as follows:

"The vector space   is a sequence space whose elements are the bounded sequences."

I strongly recommend that someone knowledgeable about this subject add to this sentence what the sequences in question are sequences of.

(For instance, we could say "of real or complex numbers". This might be a good place to start, since it is a big mistake to think all definitions in Wikipedia must necessarily be in the maximum possible generality.

Or one could say "of a normed vector space".

But please don't leave unaddressed the question of what the sequences might consist of. 2601:200:C000:1A0:9C62:19A0:B4BF:C954 (talk) 01:46, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

The very first sentence of sequence space states that they are sequences of real or complex numbers. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 23:45, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
