Page Quality Issues edit

  1. The page banner notes "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (September 2018)". While well-intentioned, this seems to mistake the main thrust of the warning. It is intended to warn of financial and reputational conflicts of interest. Flagging a person simply for having attended the school is not warranted. I have removed the banner. The article now adheres to the Wikipedia guidelines for tone and controlling conflict of interest. --Douglas Orme 16:43, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

  2. In general more references are still needed and I have left that flat. I have greatly expanded references recently and tried to adhere to Wikipedia guidelines for quality and formatting of references.
  3. More evergreen content would improve the page - less info that is liable to change.

Open to feedback on the edits I've made and further talk.

'Notable Alumni' vandalism edit

  • I have substantially reworked and improved this section by including a wider range of people across a wider timespan while adhering to the intent of the Notable Alumin section in the Wikipedia guidelines. I have also included both Wikipedia and external references where available and sorted the names alphabetical order as per encyclopedia convention rather than by personal favorite as may have previously been the case. --Douglas Orme 23:49, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
  • In general, the Wikipedia spirit is that when one finds an error, one corrects it if the person has the ability (which may require learning how to edit); I've tried to do that here. As always, the Wikipedia spirit is also to remain polite, civil and encouraging.

  • It currently seems like some current L'Amoreaux C.I students are persistently vandalizing the 'Notable Alumni' part of this article. If someone could make this stop, it would be greatly appreciated.
  • Thanks in advance.

  • :It's not vandalism and at the moment it looks quite manageable. I'll continue to watch the article but feel free to revert if you see any non-notable additions. Hiàn (talk) 03:21, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • I made an edit to improve the quality of a reference today. The previous URL linked to a commercial music lyric page. I replaced it with a URL to a reputable magazine: not correcting 'vandalism' but an improvement in the quality of the references. Douglas Orme 16:13, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
