The 2016 appearance as IOA is not Kuwait

Please stop vandalizing the tables by adding IOA results to KUW. These are not the same, even if the athlete is Kuwaiti. Thanks. Jmj713 (talk) 11:46, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

The team is Kuwait under a different title, if they are not to be included in the page for medals they should also be removed from the table of medals due to they are not competing. Otherwise there placement on the medal page makes no sense and causes significant confusion due to when you go through the link it says there are medal wins but those are not counted on this page. For a similar case see other instances like Russia at the Olympics or Germany at the Olympics. The 2016 gold medal should not be mentioned in the tables here, but in the 2016 IOA article. Jmj713 (talk) 22:04, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Those instances are due to changes in country designation and unified groups, in this scenario if you do not want the medals to be combined into the Kuwait medal listing, create a combined medal list such as that of the German page. I see this as different for one reason, the IOA team was created solely to give Kuwait's team to participate during the suspension of their countries Olympic committee. I'm fine with the separate combined table as long as the main table for Kuwait does not list participation by IOA as Kuwait. Nothing against Kuwait or the gold medalist, that's great, but medals by different NOCs are never combined. Jmj713 (talk) 22:31, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
