Isn't the origin of this instrument the Malay kecapi? edit

Especially the lifted variants such as the kecapi bugis? There are some videos on YouTube about this particular instrument. It is fairly similar to the kudyapi. Similar name, similar form, similar geographic region. I thought it is important to add to the article the origin of the Philippine instrument, or perhaps they should be merged in some way to maximise the awareness of the reader. Myrnamyers, I am planning to rework this article and have been collecting sources. Outside of my sources, I have no knowledge. I welcome input from others who are exploring. I have been looking at the similarities and wondering how to proceed. I don't oppose a merger if the different varieties among the various peoples and countries are explored in the article. The biggest barrier I have found is good photos matched with names and tribes/peoples. Jacqke (talk) 12:30, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
