This page incorporates material from the German Wikipedia. I have no idea how to properly acknowledge copyright in relation to my demunging of a machine translation. Translation occurred at Fifelfoo (talk) 02:22, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Content on WP is not copyrighted, and does not require citation across different language WP's. Thank you! Kerdek (Tell me if I screw up) 02:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Its subject to licenses, which are generally protected as a result of Copyright law, and authorial attribution or origin statements may be required. I am not a Copyright or data licensing lawyer, and I've noted that transwiki work has included statements of license in the past. Fifelfoo (talk) 02:39, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
The only content on WP that should be subject to licenses are images. All textual content should be free and unlicensed, as is provided by the disclaimer underneath the edit box. All textual content is under the CC-BY-SA 3.0. If it is not free content, it shouldn't be here, and any editor can feel safe using content from Wikipedia anywhere, following citation guidelines. If content stays within the Wikipedia project, citation is unneeded. Kerdek (Tell me if I screw up) 02:51, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
It appears as though there's some obligation to appropriately attribute under CCA-SA 3.0. Fifelfoo (talk) 02:59, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Untranslated

Sections on liquidation theories, trials, and commemorations haven't been translated. They're too terse for the machine to have produced adequate text. Fifelfoo (talk) 02:58, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I know a tad-bit of German, so I'll work on that. Kerdek (Tell me if I screw up) 03:17, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
