Typical present-day Kurpie landscape.

Kurpie horse and buggy

I think these images are not very accurate. This example of "Kurpie landscape" is typical for whole Masovian Plain, not just for Kurpie. Also this type of buggy was (and somtimes still is) used in all regions of Poland. A.J. (talk) 08:39, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The photographs are photos that I took in Gmina Jednorożec in recent years.

  • The first photo shows the Gmina Jednorożec land as it exists today. The fact that it also represents the type of land elsewhere is not my concern.
  • The second photo tends to show some of the Kurpie influence that still exists in the region today.
  • I do not see why the photos should arbitrarily be removed from the page.Wikited (talk) 16:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • Please put more of these details in images description, they might be more useful then not only here. You took great photos of architecture during your visit and I appreciate that (It's a shame that Wikipedia didn't have decent picture of Kurpie hut before); my point is that not every photo took in Kurpie is about Kurpie. That kind of buggy, roadside shrine or landscape is very common in Poland; but Kuprie huts, wycinanki, clothes are characteristic for Kurpie only. About your last note: I think you should reverse that and ask why this or another photo should be in the article. A.J. (talk) 18:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your comments. I understand and respect your opinion and see the point of your argument. Let me think about it for a while. I will probably not re-introduce these two photos again, and maybe I can find a better photo to describe what I was trying to show. In the meantime, the photos can reside here in DISCUSSION for the record. Thanks.Wikited (talk) 20:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

p.s. - nice Stach Konwa - monument pix.Wikited (talk) 20:19, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The photo took my friend from Nowogród, but the pl:Stach Konwa article is mostly mine :) A.J. (talk) 09:36, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
